Help us bring the magic

Volunteer

The magic doesn’t run itself. Every Christmas, dozens of volunteers make the night happen — we’d love to add you.

Why volunteer

Uncle Paul’s is the biggest single night in Wynberg Rotaract’s year. The funds it raises power every project we run for the next 12 months. The volunteers who make it happen also tend to become friends for life — Rotaract’s a club, not a charity, and this is how people find their way in.

What you might do

  • Check-in & marshalling. Greet families, verify tickets, direct cars, collect donations. The first impression of the evening.
  • Setup and pack-down. The castle doesn’t decorate itself. We start the morning before; we finish the next day.
  • The castle team. Father Christmas needs elves, and the special-item reveal needs eight pairs of careful hands.
  • Donation sorting. Every toy, every tin gets handled and sorted — it all gets delivered to the partner organisations in January.
  • Photography. If you have a camera and a sense for the moment, we always need photos.

How to put your hand up

Email [email protected] with a sentence on what you’d like to do and how we can reach you. We’ll pull you into the Christmas team chat as soon as the season ramps up.
